Assassin's Creed Unveils Unexpected AoT Collaboration for Holiday Season
In a bizarre partnership that challenges traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Revealed
According to the authorized release, "A mysterious encounter draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of prohibited practices and terrifying transformations echo through the darkness." The narrative presents a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a secret sect.
The mission concentrates on "bizarre trials and a fearsome adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Transformations
The trailer features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview finishes with a striking sequence showing a character, likely the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Additional Content
Players who finish the mission will acquire an unique katana alongside several items hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
